In the Catholic tradition of stewardship, we invite you to prayerfully consider supporting the St. Thomas More Catholic School 2024-2025 Annual Fund. Thank you to our donors! With $42,900 so far, we are more than halfway to our goal of $60,000 for new computers as part of a synchronous computer application class lab renovation. Based on your previous generosity, we know that we can meet and even exceed this goal. Please consider a financial gift that will benefit our students and faculty. There are several ways to give:
Please call the school office at 225-275-2820 if you need assistance. Your annual contribution is more than a gift; it is an investment in our students that will have a lasting impact. Thank you for your support!
Thank You for making #iGiveCatholic a huge success! Thank you so much for your generous gifts on GivingTuesday, which totaled $7,835! Because of your contributions, we will be able to work toward the renovation of our student computer lab. This means so much to us and to all of our students we work to support every day! None of this could happen without you!
Situations that may prevent a parent from fulfilling his/her obligation to pay tuition and fees (including cafeteria) should be discussed with the School Administration prior to delinquency occurring. The administration is committed to assisting families in a way that is best for all parties involved.
Midterm exams for grades 6 through 8 are December 17-20. Should a parent fail to make required tuition and/or fees payments, or not make arrangements for an alternate payment plan, students will not be allowed to take semester exams until all financial obligations to the school are fulfilled.
Do you have a child entering school next year? Do you know a family looking for a school? Applications for new students are open at stmbr.org/apply. We have limited availability for qualified candidates. Please note: Applications are for new students only; current students will reenroll for 2025-2026 in January.
Friday, December 20, is our last school day before the Christmas holiday. Your child’s teacher will send more detailed information on these. December 20 is also an early dismissal day. Carpool will begin at 1 p.m. There is no afternoon EBR bus service or afternoon Extended Care on this day. If your child is in Preschool through 5th grade, please click here to indicate how your child will get home on December 20.
Reminder to parents: Christmas parties are for STM students only. Due to safety and liability coverage, we cannot allow any other children or siblings, younger or older, to attend Christmas parties. Only students enrolled at STM may be present. Thank you for your help and understanding in this matter.

Send Proofs of Purchase to your child’s homeroom teacher or the front office any time of the school year.
All student-athletes in grades 3-8 must have a completed athletic packet. Click here to download the athletic packet.
If you have any questions about STM Athletics, please contact Athletic Director Ali Buchart at bucharta@stmbr.org.

Join Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation, LSU Athletics, The LCLUB, Our Lady of the Lake Health, and The Joe Burrow Foundation for the second annual "Planting Seeds of Hope" 2025 community event — an evening committed to increasing mental health awareness and fostering open dialogue. February 12, 2025, 6 to 7 p.m. at the LSU PMAC, N Stadium Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. There is no charge for this event.
This event addresses a critical need in our community. According to the CDC, suicide is the leading cause of death in adolescents and young adults. It’s a topic that often hides in the shadows and by normalizing conversations we can put a spotlight on the stigma. With an ALL-STAR lineup, you will learn how active listening and asking for help can save the lives of your family, friends, and teammates and even strangers
Please keep in your prayers our students and parishioners, who will receive their first Sacrament of Reconciliation on December 11. May they always know the greatness of God’s love and forgiveness.
