Mission Day is October 17

What is Mission Day?
St. Thomas More’s annual Mission Day is one of the special long-standing traditions of our parish school. This one-day fall festival for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade generates funds for a mission in need of support. The money raised at Mission Day is donated to an organization chosen by the 8th grade students. Games and activities are set up throughout campus, and the students participate while enjoying a fun day with their friends. A great way to have your child more involved in the purpose of Mission Day is to encourage them to find ways to earn/raise money for Mission Day, such as doing special chores around the house or helping out a neighbor in need.

Mission Day Volunteer Opportunities and Amazon Wishlist
Please be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities coming soon. Remember, to volunteer on campus, you must complete Child Protection Certification. Click here to view the Child Protection requirements. If you'd like to help from home, we will have an Amazon Wishlist with items that will help make Mission Day a success.

Mission Day Tickets
Check Eagle News and your email beginning September 13 for the link to purchase booth tickets, pizza lunch and raffle tickets.

Due to safety and liability coverage, we cannot allow any other children or siblings, younger or older, not enrolled at STM, to attend Mission Day. Only students enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade at STM may be present.

2024-2025 Student Council Officers Elected

Friday, August 23, 2024, was an exciting day for the students in Frey Hall. The Commons was filled with activity as candidates campaigned for student council offices. The candidates displayed creative campaign boards and distributed election materials to their fellow students. Those running for office delivered persuasive speeches to earn votes from their classmates.

After the speeches, 6th, 7th, and eighth graders voted for the officers who will lead the student council for 2024-2025. The officers elected were Thomas W., president; Jack H., vice president; Sadie O., secretary; and Lucas W., treasurer.

The student council provides service to the school and also promotes school spirit. Activities of the organization include operating the school-wide recycling program, organizing and carrying out pep rallies, presenting Halloween safety talks, carrying out St. Nicholas Day activities, sponsoring the Eagle Buck reward program, and serving as guides for Grandparents’ Days. The student council members look forward to an active and successful year.

Sponsors for the organization are Ms. Abby Granger, Mrs. Ashley Llaneza, and Mrs. Jo Samaha.
