The Beta club is a honor, service organization open to our seventh and eighth graders. Students must have a 3.2 GPA to be invited to join.  If the invitation is accepted, the member has many service opportunities each month.  We require 3 points a month, and the students with the most hours/points are taken on a special trip in April.  We also honor the top eighth grade service earner at graduation and the top seventh at our end of the year awards ceremony.

Point sheets are turned in to the student's sponsor the first three school days of the next month.

Point opportunity for November

Dear Friends,

My daughter-in-law Jenee and my sister Pat are in charge of the Give Thanks St Jude Walk this Nov 19th. So many of you have been supportive of Anna James since she was diagnosed last year, and I would love for all of you to join our Team Anna James and walk with our family and friends. Because of their research, AJ did not have to receive radiation (with possible horrible, long term side effects) as part of her treatment. That is something St. Jude discovered in only the past few years.

The event is a stroller-friendly 5k walk, and will have activities for the kids too! It's on a Saturday morning - and the LSU game is away that day. smile Plus it's FREE!!

If you plan to attend, please register soon at http://www.mygivethankswalk.org/annajames2 - click "Join This Team". BR is lucky to have one of the best St. Jude affiliate clinics, but I don't think enough people know about it. This local walk is a way to get more people aware of how much St. Jude helps children that live here.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support of Anna James through this journey.
